SACHA's Fall Education Event Registration is Now Open
Join us virtually on Saturday, November 27th between 11 am and 4:30 PM for SACHA's annual Fall Education Event. We are offering a great selection of informative workshops and would love for you to join us for a day filled with education!
Contact your co-op’s office or Board to review their policy on funding and the registration process. Most co-ops have an education budget that allows the co-op to pay for member training and education. Your co-op will submit the registrations to SACHA. Individual members can pay for their own registration, if their co-op does not have funds available. Payment will be requested via invoice after the event.
- Members: $75 + GST per attendee
- Members aged 35 and under: $37.50 + GST per attendee
- Non-Members: $100 + GST per attendee

Save-the-Date: November 27, 2021 Virtual SGM and Fall Education Event
Join us on November 27, 2021 where, for the first time, we are combining our Special General Meeting (SGM) and Fall Education Event into one full-day virtual event via Zoom!
The SGM business meeting will take place from 9 - 10:45 AM, there is no registration fee to attend this portion of day. Each SACHA member co-op may be represented by one delegate. Each co-op may also appoint an alternate delegate. We will be thanking all appointed co-op delegates in attendance with a special gift.
Morning workshop sessions are scheduled between 11:00 AM and 12:30 PM. Afternoon workshops will take place between 1:30 and 3:30 PM.
Workshops Fees
Members: $75 + GST per attendee
Non-Members: $100 + GST per attendee
Members aged 35 and under: $37.50 + GST per attendee
A link to the online registration form will be included in the digital event flyer and will be posted on our website and Facebook pages on Thursday Oct.14, 2021.

Registration for the SACHA/NACHA Virtual Goldeye Conference is now open
Visit: https://www.accelevents.com/e/goldeye-2021 to register and join us virtually on Saturday, September 18th to find out what SACHA, NACHA, and CHF Canada directors have been up over the past year.
The registration fee covers the cost of the full day, including workshops
• Members: $75 + per attendee
• Members aged 35 and under: $37.50 + GST per attendee
• Non-Members: $100 + GST per attendee
• Registration deadline: September 16, 2021
Before registering please note the following:
• Please only register yourself. If you need to register more than one person, please email admin.sacha@shaw.ca to request the proper procedures.
• Payment is not required at the time of registration, your co-op will be invoiced for the cost of your registration after the event. As such, we require that you have your approval for funding from your co-op's Board of Directors to attend this event.
• To show our support for Reconciliation, we will be gifting all registered attendees an orange T-shirt. We ask that it be worn during the event in honour of the healing journey of Residential School survivors and their families.

Join us at the 2021 Virtual Goldeye Conference
For the first time, SACHA and NACHA will be hosting the Goldeye Conference virtually!
Join us on Saturday September 18th and find out what SACHA, NACHA, and CHF Canada directors have been up. While this year’s conference will be taking place online, we look forward returning to the beautiful and rustic setting that is the Goldeye Centre for the 2022 conference.
Members of housing co-ops who wish to attend should apply to their Board of Directors for funding. Registration will open on August 3rd and the registration deadline is September 16, 2021. The registration fee will cover the cost of the full day, including workshops.

July 3, 2021: International Day of Cooperatives
The 2021 International Day of Co-operatives (#CoopsDay) is coming up on July 3rd and this year's theme is: Rebuild Better Together. The goal of #CoopsDay is to increase awareness of co-operatives and promote the co-operative movement. This year, the International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) invites co-operatives around the world to participate by showcasing how we can rebuild better together.

City of Calgary Home Program Community Grant Program - Now Accepting Applications
The 2021 Home Program Community grant is now available. Applications are being accepted between March 8 and April 5, 2021.
The Home Program provides grants up to $25,000 for new seed projects that increase housing stability and successful tenancies for affordable housing residents or Calgarians in core housing need. The Home Program supports projects that increase housing stability and successful tenancies in four priority areas:
1. Education and skill building
2. Financial empowerment
3. Community inclusion and integration
4. COVID-19 response
